History
Fort Bend County Municipal Utility District No. 252 is a political subdivision of the State of Texas, located entirely within the City of Needville and Fort Bend County, Texas, approximately 20 miles southwest of the Central Business District of the City of Sugar Land, and approximately one quarter mile from the Central Business District of the City of Needville. The District was created by special act of the 88th Texas Legislature, effective June 13, 2023, codified as Chapter 7975A, Texas Special District Local Laws Code. The District operates under Chapters 49 and 54 of the Texas Water Code, Article XVI, Section 59, and Article III, Section 52 of the Texas Constitution. The District currently consists of 235.901 acres, split into two tracts of land. The Harvest Pointe tract consists of approximately 134.66 acres and is located at the intersection of Highway 36 and Needville Fairchilds Road. The August Meadows tract consists of approximately 101.231 acres and is located approximately 0.6 miles from the intersection of School Street and Altimore Road.
